Although, not a big duck fan, the Crispy skin and meat served in perfect thin pancakes was absolutely delicious. Also worth mentioning are Honey King Prawns. That sweet and sour taste under this tick layer of something, (I think were beaten eggs) is unforgettable. Really make you wonder how much these chefs can make with such simple ingredients. 10 Best Officeworks Desks In 2024

I travel and work with a computer. Finding a good desk is important for staying productive and comfy. Whether I'm in a tiny flat, a busy coworking space, or a quiet beach, or a campsite, the best officework desks matter.  After many years of working on the go, I have found the right trick to always be comfortable when working. Always carry your own office desk wherever you are working. The familiarity of your desk, matched with the comfort, psychologically helps you become more productive. Especially for people who have special mental conditions like ADHD and OCD. A good office desk can act as a placebo, helping them concentrate better. As a digital nomad in Australia, I loved working with the beach in view. I also sometimes took my workstation to a serene campsite to do some offline work. However, no view can be as great if you are uncomfortable. After years of work, I was able to curate a list of office desks that will always help maintain your comfort level. So, here is a list of the best officework desks. Best Officeworks Desks These are some of the desks that I have used throughout my journey. But you can always pick one based on what is comfortable for you. Without any further ado, let's get into the listicle! 1. Foldable Laptop Table  This is a light and portable desk that can be carried anywhere. It is ideal for working in bed when you just want to curl up in the covers, on the sofa, or even on the ground (because sometimes that is the most comfortable). It has an adjustable height to lessen strain on your neck and back. 2. Standing Desk Converter  One of the versatile and best officeworks desks can be positioned on any table and adjusted to stand while working. Sitting for too long might sound comfortable, but muscle cramps are inevitable. Therefore, sometimes standing is a better posture. It helps reduce the risk of back pain from sitting for a long time. Plus, its small size makes it easy to move. You can easily set a minimal treadmill under the desk. Good work, and a great workout! 3. Collapsible Desk  Among the best office work desks, this is a fan favourite. They are sturdy to work with but then fold flat for storage and transport. Again, they are an excellent choice for small spaces. Despite being foldable, they still provide a solid work surface and are spacious for all your office items.  4. Lap Desk with Cushion  You do not want to sit at an office desk all the time. Sometimes, it is more comfortable to relax in a beach recliner, especially in Australia. However, it is unhealthy to keep your laptop on your lap. There should be some solid surface dividing the two.  One of the best officeworks desks is a small portable one with a cushion. It is great for working on your lap. It also has a slot for your phone, coffee cup, and a built-in mouse pad. It's perfect for changing work spots, like a sofa or a park, when one space gets too monotonous. 5. Wall-Mounted Drop-Leaf Desk  It gets the work time when needed, and you can always fold them away to make the most of the space in your temporary residence. Especially if you want your desk near a window but do not want to occupy the entire open area. It is ideal for small living spaces and provides a sturdy work surface. Additionally, when you put it down, it looks neat and minimal.  6. Table for Travel  Being an Australian, I loved to set up my workstation at different campsites, truly working amidst nature for some tranquillity. Made for camping, this table is light and strong. It's easy to set up and works well inside and out. Its tough build means it can handle many places, making it good for nomads who work in nature.  7. Portable Stand Desk Cart  This desk can easily move around, letting you change where you work. It can also be raised according to when you are sitting, or standing. The wheels underneath also help you carry it around the house, especially without having to continuously shift the desktop items from one place to another. This is one of the best officeworks desks for those who like to change their work spot every hour. 8. Small Writing Desk  A simple, small desk that fits in small spots. It's solid and has room for your laptop and other stationary items. A good pick for those who need a work spot without taking up too much space. This could also be a good officedesk for temporary usage. It can also act as a great reading space for the evenings when you want to relieve your stress, and get some me time. 9. Fold the Wall Desk With A Shelf This desk folds out and backs up but also has a built-in shelf. It's a good pick for a small room; it provides both use and looks nice. You can keep your important office work items and stationery right within reach. 10. Plain Wood Desk  A basic wood desk? How can it be one of the best officeworks desks? They are comfortable and aesthetically perfect. If you are a fan of home decor and do not want your office desk to be too minimalistic, a simple wooden desk is your choice. Especially when you can choose through an array of desks, it gives a clean and strong work spot and mixes with any style. Final Words!  For nomads, the right desk can make work life easy. These ten picks have everything to fit your special requirements, from moving and small size to changeable height and ease.   For people who work online and go around, finding the right desk can change how well you work. Therefore, make a good pick; your desk will be a big part of your workstation, no matter where you set it. Plus, keeping some small and portable ones as an option gives you the ease to carry your officedesks at remote places. Which one did you pick? Let us know in the comment section below! Best Traditional Australian Trifle Recipe | Must Read!

When it comes to dessert, we all have a very special place for it in our hearts. And there is no exception to the traditional Australian trifle recipe. Whatever the occasion, this stunning-looking dessert will always add more charm to your table. It was 2022 when I tried my first Australian trifle, and it was a piece of heaven in my taste bud! Being a baking enthusiast myself, I always thought of it as a peaceful experience. So, this was my first time trying to get the perfect trifle. Surely intimidating, but with a few practised shots, I was able to get somewhat perfect it. And the best part is that it is really easy to prepare it at home. This lovely combination of cream and custard, paired with fruits, jelly soaked cake will make you eat bowl after bowl, even though you know that you should stop.  What Is Trifle? Trifle is actually an English dessert. This one is enriched with the love and nurturing nature of our grandmoms. This is a type of traditional dessert that is carried forward from generation to generation.  But when it comes to traditional Australian trifle recipes, the preparation is a bit different. But the basics are always the same all the time. The typical layers of trifle consist of jelly, cream, and custard. Though across the world, there are many variations.  What Will We Need? Here, I will guide you with the traditional Australian trifle recipe, which is pretty simple, and actually, a throw-together recipe that you will be able to make easily. You do not need any special master chef skills in order to prepare trifles with this easy recipe.   1. Jelly The very first thing that you need to prepare is the jelly base for a traditional Australian trifle recipe. One of my most favorite flavors is Port Wine Jelly. But that does not mean that you have to use only this one.  You always can use any flavor that you like the most. The sweet flavor of raspberry and blackberry go really well for the traditional Australian trifle recipe base.   2. Swiss Jam Roll You can always use any of the swiss rolls from the local store. At the same time, it is also really popular to use Madeira cake, homemade vanilla sponge cake, or Italian sponge fingers, such as in tiramisu.  You can either slice it or chop the cakes into squares, whatever you like. It totally depends on your choice and the type of presentation you want.  3. Custard When it comes to the custard part of a traditional Australian trifle recipe, you can make your own kind of custard. Or, in case you want to take the shortcut route, you have the option of buying a double-thick custard all the time.  But when you are buying custard, you need to be a little cautious and always should go with the best and thickest options available. Remember you are going to put cream on it, so it should have the strength to hold the cream. Traditional Australian Trifle Recipe  Now is the time to start with the actual preparation of the traditional Australian trifle recipe. Follow the below-mentioned steps, and you will be able to make your favorite dessert.  Take a large mixing bowl and pop your jelly crystals on it, and then add boiling water. Now stir well until the crystals are totally dissolved. Use some cold water to top it up, and keep stirring through. Now set aside and let it cool.  Now slice the cake or the jam roll, whatever you are using, into 1.5 cm wide slices. Now take a deep trifle dish, and arrange the slices in a single layer; if you want, you also can arrange one row of cake slices around the edge as well.  Into the middle, add some canned fruit. Now pour the jelly very carefully over the cake slices till it covers the layering. Keep it in the fridge and let it sit for around 3 hours.  While the jelly is sitting in the fridge, we can start with the next step. Put the cream in a large mixing bowl, or stand mixer. If you want, you also can add additional sugar and vanilla essence; it will enrich the taste. Whip the cream on high speed for around 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cream thickens and holds a nice shape.  After 3 hours of refrigeration, when the jellyfish set, use a large spoon for layering the custard over the jelly. After adding the custard, use the back of the spoon to smooth the surface.  Now gently place a spoonful of the whipped cream, and spread the cream very lightly using a fork to cover the custard, and make the final lawyering of a traditional Australian trifle recipe.  Finally, top with some fresh fruits like blueberries and strawberries; you also can add a light sparking of iced sugar if you want.  Some Tips When you are layering the traditional Australian trifle recipe, make sure that you are doing it really gently. Especially when you are layering the whipped cream to cover the custard, be very gentle. The last thing you will want is to push the cream into the custard.  You also need to be more careful when serving it. A ladle or spoon with a long handle will work for scooping through all the layers. This will be perfect to dish each serving up with the even amount of every layer.  Variations We all like variations with our desserts, and especially when it is our favorite one, like a traditional Australian trifle recipe. If you are not that much into fresh fruits, feel free to experiment with the toppings.  Add some chocolate shavings, marshmallows, lollies, or sprinkles. Some of us also might like crushed peanuts or their favorite crushed cookies, like Oreos. Contemporary Australian Trifle Recipes Here are some of the common trifle recipes which you should try alongside the traditional one. Tropical Mango and Coconut Trifle Here are the ingredients you will need. Ingredients One small sponge cake cut into cubes. If you have some time in hand, make your own sponge cake. Nothing tastes better! Two ripe mangoes, diced. 50g of coconut cream.  200g of butter. One cup of heavy cream. Two tablespoons of sugar. One cup of passionfruit pulp.  Fresh mint leaves as garnishing.  Instructions Here are the instructions to making this trifle. Prepare the Coconut Cream: Refrigerate the coconut cream until it thickens – ideally, chilly overnight. Scrape off the solid portion, and beat it with the heavy cream and sugar until light.  Layer the Trifle: Beginning the trifle dish, the sponge cake in cubes is the first layer. Put a layer of passion fruit pulp on top, then layer it with whipped coconut cream. Keep repeating the layers until you are on top of the dish. You can sprinkle some sugar on top, and caramalizng it with a torch gun if you want your dessert to be fresh tonight. Top and Serve: Lastly, spoon the top of the fully covered passionfruit pulp and garnish the piece it with mint leaves. Refrigerate for at least one hour before and then serve it fresh. Lemon Curd Trifle Let' begin with the ingredients. Ingredients One slice cut from a lemon pound cake. Again, if you are an expert, you can create this cake on your own. One jar of lemon curd. One cup of raspberries. One cup of fresh blueberries. Two cups of vanilla custard.  One cup of heavy cream has to be whipped.  Lemon zest for garnish. Instructions Let's start with the ingredients of preparing one. Prepare the Lemon Curd: If you are going to use a ready-made lemon curd that you can purchase one at any local supermarket. However, if homemade, you need to cool it before layering. Layer the Trifle: This trifle dish arrangement begins with the base layer of lemon pound cake cut into slices. Pour the lemon curd filling on top of the cake and spread it uniformly. Top it up with a blend of raspberries and blueberries puree. When the pastry is cool, add a layer of vanilla custard to the filling, and then repeat the layers.  Top and Serve: Lastly, top it with a layer of whipped cream and sprinkle the lemon zest over it. For a better taste, you should allow it to cool and even refrigerate before serving. Caramel and Banana Trifle  Here are the ingredients you should get. Ingredients Here are the ingredients you will need.  One bar of banana bread, cubed.  50 ml of caramel sauce. Two ripe bananas, sliced. Two small cups of vanilla pudding. Heavy cream, 1 cup whip. Raises toasted coconut flakes to the level of being a garnish. Instructions Let's begin with the instructions for the recipe. Prepare the Caramel: If using a caramel sauce from store, you would have to warm it beforehand. If making your own, ensure that you reach the right temperature. You wouldn't want your caramel to harden much when you refrigerate. Layer the Trifle: Begin with the first layers of cut-up pieces or slices of banana bread. Then pour the caramel sauce over one piece of bread and then spread sliced bananas over the caramel sauce—finally, layer vanilla pudding on top of the cake. Repeat the layers. Top and Serve: Lastly, top it with whipped cream and sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes. Let it cool for at least an hour before serving, or you can even let it sit in the refrigerator for at least a few hours or until it is cold.  FAQs Here are some questions that most of us usually have in our minds when it comes to the traditional Australian trifle recipe. Let’s get the answers to those questions.  1. Can I Freeze The Trifle? Though it is not recommended very much, fresh trifles are the best and usually are stored in the fridge. Make sure you are eating it within 2 to 3 days. Otherwise, the cake will start to disintegrate, and it will all turn into mush.  2. What Is The Best Way To Present The Trifle? The easiest way is to use a large bowl that is made of glass and specially designed for serving traditional Australian trifle recipes. It will really show off all the layers. If you don't have one, you can just use a deep bowl. You also can serve in individual glasses or ramekins.  3. Can It Be Made The Day Before? In case you want to make it the day before, leave the cream and topping part. And add it when you are ready to serve. This way, the traditional Australian trifle recipe dessert will look its best. Bottom Line So, this is all about the traditional Australian trifle recipe. I hope you get all the answers that you had in your mind regarding the traditional Australian trifle recipes. This dessert always allows you to experiment a bit, so feel free to try different things.  Read Also: Top 10 Famous Asian Recipes Restaurant In Australia 10 Best Officeworks Desks Top 10 Pawn Shop Of Australia In 2021

What Are The Expectations From Couple’s Counselling?

What are the expectations from couple's counseling? Let me give you an account of my personal experience. My partner and I have been traveling around Australia for the last year, from busy Sydney to relaxing Byron Bay beaches. We are digital nomads, and while we have many perks, it also comes with some challenges. Especially in keeping healthy relationships while on the road, we decided to try relationship counselling to improve our connection and communication. If you ever wondered what relationship counseling is like, if it works, or whether you should go for one, here are the experiences and insights we have gained. What To Expectations From Couple's Counseling? First off, what is relationship counseling? It is a type of therapy to help couples recognize and resolve conflicts to improve their relationship. This is different than personal thereapist where you sit individually. For relationship counseling you need to sit with your partner. Trained therapists will facilitate discussions and work with the couple on better ways of communicating with one another and finding solutions to any problems. Be it major issues or just wanting to ensure you strengthen your connection more – relationship counselling is definitely something that should be on everyone’s minds. Our Journey and Expectations From Couple's Counseling  Being digital nomads, we face challenges across the board. Constant travel, different work schedules, and the stresses of being in new places all conspire to test any relationship. However, ever since leaving the UK to travel, we have found ourselves bickering more frequently and having communication problems, so we have sought help. Especially as digital nomads in Australia, the pressure of backpacking, always being on the go, and finding new accommodations can sometimes take a toll on our patience. We decided to get a relationship counsellor. It doesn't mean there was something wrong with us. It just meant we needed a moderator to remove the unecessary misconceptions. We found a counsellor who does online sessions, which is perfect for us living out of a backpack. This meant that we could still be on the road whilst taking some time out to work on our relationship. Following our first session with her, it felt like a weight off my shoulders, and we knew straight away that it was the right step towards fixing what wasn’t working. First Time Counseling Initially, I was nervous; I wasn’t sure what to expect. The counsellor put my partner and me at ease. She asked us both about our relationship history, for example, why we were facing relationship issues, etc. It was a very safe space; there was no judgment, and you could say how you felt freely. So, the first initial meeting is about understanding you as a couple and your reason for seeking therapy. One thing we appreciated was that our counsellor didn’t take sides. Instead, she helped us see things from each other’s perspective. This was incredibly enlightening and helped us understand each other better. In the first few sessions, we identified the core issues in our relationship. We discussed communication patterns, individual needs, current conflicts, and recurring problems, which helped us see what was really going on. Couple Counseling & Communication Skills A large chunk of expectations of couple's counseling time has been spent improving communication between us. It’s been a revelation! We are learning how to express our feelings and needs more clearly and how to listen with empathy. Even simple adjustments like using ‘I’ instead of ‘you’, for example, “I feel really upset when…” as opposed to “You always…” have shifted things hugely. Helped Us Set Goals Our counsellor helped us set realistic and achievable goals for our relationship. Whether spending more quality time together or addressing issues like trust or intimacy, having clear goals gave us a sense of direction. Developing Strategies: We were given practical strategies to deal with our issues. This included conflict resolution techniques, ways to keep the romance alive, and tips for maintaining a healthy work-life balance especially as digital nomads. Similalry your startegies will be tailored to you & your partner's lifestyle. Homeworks! Unexpected expectations from couple's counseling? Homeworks! Yes, there’s homework! But don’t worry, it’s not like school. These assignments were designed to help us practice what we learned during our sessions. For instance, we had to plan a date night without any gadgets to reconnect on a deeper level. Ease With Communication Better communication was perhaps the greatest benefit we noticed. We have learned to talk openly about our feelings and concerns without feeling judged or fearing conflict. It has certainly brought us closer, minimized those unnecessary misunderstandings, and kept us better connected. What More Expectations From Couple's Counselling Over time, counselling helped us better appreciate each other’s needs and perspectives, making us more empathetic and supportive partners. Conflict Resolution: We have learned effective ways to resolve conflicts without letting them grow. This has reduced the frequency and intensity of our arguments. Stronger Bond: Our relationship is stronger and more resilient now. We feel more connected and committed. Personal Growth: Relationship counselling also promoted personal growth. We became more self-aware and learned to manage our emotions better. Be Open and Honest: For counselling to be effective, you must be open and honest about your feelings and concerns. Don’t hold back. Be Patient: Change doesn’t happen overnight. Be patient with the process and with each other. Practice What You Learn: Apply the techniques and strategies you learn in counselling daily. Practice makes perfect. Stay Committed: Relationship counselling requires commitment from both partners. Make sure you’re both dedicated to making it work. Final Thoughts The best decision we made was to give relationship counselling a try. Now, we have the tools to continue improving our communication, resolving conflicts, and having regular tune-ups whenever needed. As digital nomads, it’s so easy to get caught up in travel and fun but forget to put that same energy into making sure the relationship stays strong. With our counsellor’s help, travel will no longer be an excuse. If you’re thinking about relationship counselling and wondering about the expectations from Couple's counseling, I say go get it! It doesn’t matter if your issues are huge or if you just want to make good stuff even better. Every couple has their valleys… hills, and mountains! So, here's to love and adventure!
